Speakers
Katherine Simpson serves as an assistant professor of nursing department at the University of St. Thomas, located in Houston, Texas. Katherine is an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and has completed her DNP. Katherine serves as president-elect for Houston Area Nurse Practitioners (HANP), and member of American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses and serves as the Research and Education committee member for Texas, and serves as a member of American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN). Katherine has been a nursing professional for over 20 years. Her areas of expertise are critical care, cardiovascular, and neurological sciences. In addition to being a member of several organizations, Katherine volunteers in other areas such as food and clothing drives and committee work.
